It has an open, airy feel and the hills offer beautiful views across the countryside. Parts were steep and rugged, like Dartmoor, and there's a folly on one hill and a war memorial on a nearby hill. As it turns out, Bradgate is a huge expanse of parkland with large areas of (enclosed) woodland. I had been worried that its close proximity to Leicester might spoil the atmosphere somehow.
We visited Bradgate Park for the first time on Apand have to say we were pleasantly surprised. Goodwood cct and Everyman Racing itself far exceeds other track days that I've experienced recently with other companies, the cars provided were clean and in good condition and sure made my daughter want a McLaren in the future! I genuinely look forward to my next one.soon I hope if Santa delivers another voucher this Christmas (fingers crossed). The driving instructors came across as very keen & experienced and made you feel very confidant in the "strange" cars as you drove them around the cct offering advice and encouragement as needed. Down in the paddock the girls and boys were very amiable in getting you into the cars as soon as practicable whilst also making it stress free. The circuit safety brief was excellent and lasted almost 30mins and you left well informed and roaring to go. The greeting staff were very friendly and warmly welcomed us to Goodwood, the parking was well laid out and spacious and everyone we met conducted good informative briefs. We both had two Supercars, Demo lap, high speed lap, photo and CDW as a Christmas present from pre-covid ckily we have now booked them in and it was worth the wait. I can say with hand on heart that myself and my daughter Lauren had a fantastic few hours with Everyman Racing at the Goodwood circuit last Thursday. He came to watch his younger brother and now can't wait to get out on the track himself. Our elder son has still to book his experience. If your child likes cars, they'll love this experience. We chose to, simply as it seemed to good an opportunity to miss for an experience that doesn't come around every day, but there is certainly no pressure. You can also pay extra for the photo and / or video package.
You can of course upgrade for extra laps if you wish. Some people might think that only 2 laps isn't enough, but for a 10 year old driving for the first time and in probably over £500k worth of cars, I'd suggest that was enough, although I suspect that the day has now whetted his appetite and he'll want to go again in a few years. He's still smiling now when he looks at the pictures or watches the in-car video, brilliant! Very well organised, from check-in, to being called to drive the next car etc, and the instructors in the cars with our son were brilliant, made him feel a million dollars and like he was a seasoned driver. To be able to say that the first car he drove was a red Ferrari, followed by a Porsche and Lamborghini, will live with him for a long, long time. We will be using our pass to come back again.įantastic experience for our 10 year old son. If History is your thing I cannot see people being disappointed. Accessibility is good and adequate very clean toilet facilities. Child and adult alike will enjoy this experience as you can not only see what living was like during the time but smell it and touch it essentially bringing your own imagination to life.
There is lots to see and do and it is especially interesting as well to children as part of learning about British History. We were not disappointed! They were tasty and excellent. We arrived in the afternoon and it was pleasing that the Traditional Fish and Chip Bar had very little queue as we were keen to sample the highly rated food. It very much is a living museum and it is History brought to life in front of yours eyes. It was certainly worthy of a second visit as there really is so much to see.
This is our second visit back to the Black Country Living Museum as we brought a family ticket that then allows free entrance for 12 months.
